Mechanical characterisation of cross laminated (CLT) timber panels, made of radiata pine grown in Chile, is realised at the present study. Such characterisations realised through cyclic requests, having as a reference, procedures described in European rules DIN EN 12512, adapted to conditions at LIMUS laboratory, at Universidad de Santiago de Chile. Three test samples with identical measures and characteristics are tested, using the same procedure for each of them. Joint is done with 5 steel screws placed in a zig zag way. With test results, viscous damping and reference ductility is determined, parameters which represent energy dissipation capacity of the configuration.
